As part of our Open Days, you can join general Zoom webinars for an opportunity to ask questions about the application process, student life, finances and other topics.

Admissions and Financial Awards

This session will outline the admissions and audition process, including the adjustments we’re making for the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ll also give you information about scholarships and bursaries. This is your opportunity to ask any questions you have about the admissions process, your audition and how scholarships and bursaries are awarded.

Open Academy

Open Academy is the Royal Academy of Music’s learning, participation and community initiative. Every year, we make music with around 6,000 people beyond our enrolled students and staff, in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, care settings, special schools and day centres. Our projects enable students to make connections with people from all walks of life, and to reflect upon the contribution musicians can make to society through their artistry.

Artist Development

In this webinar, we talk you through how we make sure that you get the tools you need during your time at the Academy, so that by the time you leave, you are a versatile, career-savvy and empowered artist, ready to forge the career you want.

Students’ Union

Our session will give you the chance to meet our current Students' Union Team, gain insight into what we do, learn how we enhance the student experience and a take a peek at what you can look forward to if you choose to study at the Academy!

Find out more about the societies on offer, take a look into our student support network and learn how you could make money while you're at the Academy. We'll also cover topics such as facilities, student discounts and events, and there will be a general Question & Answer session (perhaps questions that you wouldn't put to staff!). We look forward to seeing you there!

You can apply for Academy courses through UCAS Conservatoires. Our ID is R53. If you have any questions, contact the relevant department or the Admissions Team in our Registry, who will be happy to help – email or call +44 (0)20 7873 7393.

Everyone who applies on time will be auditioned – we're excited to seek out the promise of today and create the virtuosos of tomorrow. You'll find lots more information in the main Auditions section of our website.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, we will not be auditioning at any international centres for 2021 entry. All principal studies will be auditioned in London, and video auditions can be done instead of a live audition for most principal studies. Our video auditions page has more details.

'The most effective context for creativity in the performing arts is team spirit and being companionable. Investing in each other provides a "domino effect" of positivity'
